Emirates plane on fire after crash landing

Passengers on an Emirates flight had a lucky escape when their plane crash landed at Dubai Airport. The Boeing 777-300 reportedly caught fire mid-air.
Social media was awash with footage purportedly showing rescue workers and fire crews working to contain the large plumes of smoke coming from the plane that departed from India.
It is understood that the captain sent out an emergency signal shortly before the plane was due to land.
So far there have been no reports of any injuries. Via Twitter, Emirates, an airline that has a record of zero fatalities confirmed that an ‘incident took’ place at Dubai International Airport at 12.45pm local time. The airline also stated that they do not know caused the crash at this time.
The media office for Dubai’s Government said that the plane flying from India had crash landed and that the passengers were evacuated.
Emergency services are currently tending to the scene and all landings at the airport are suspended.
