Nearly 70 passengers removed from Flybe flight

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

A Flybe flight from Newcastle to Stansted was recently cancelled to due unruly passenger behaviour. The stag party of nineteen were heavily intoxicated and threatened the cabin crew, forcing the captain to cancel the flight and call police assistance. The remaining sixty-eight passengers were led off the plane into the terminal and were accommodated on alternative flights.

Witnesses have now come forward, stating that the airline may have overreacted. "They did not appear to be abusive or threatening but I wasn't close enough to hear what was said. There were no raised voices, it seems as if Flybe staff overreacted." said one of the passengers, who wasn't a member of the group, in an interview. It has also been reported, that no one was arrested.

Flybe has released an official statement, apologizing to the remaining passengers.
