Your rights in the event of a delayed or cancelled AirConnect flight
If you experience AirConnect cancellations or delays, remember that your rights as an air passenger are protected by EU and British regulations. You may be eligible for flight compensation of up to £520 per passenger and a full refund of the ticket price for your AirConnect cancelled flight under certain conditions.
Was your AirConnect flight delayed? If you arrived at your destination of choice at least three hours later than expected, you may be eligible for flight compensation.
Was your AirConnect flight cancelled? You are entitled to a ticket refund if you did not take an alternative flight offered by AirConnect. Furthermore, if the flight was cancelled less than 14 days before departure, you may be eligible for cancelled AirConnect flight compensation.
Airlines are required to supply you with specific assistance regardless of the cause of the flight disruption, known as the "right to care." This includes vouchers for food and beverages, communication services, and, if necessary, lodging facilities and transportation. These can be claimed at the airline's service desk, and if the airline refuses to provide you with vouchers, you can buy what is necessary and they will have to reimburse you later.
Warning: If your flight was delayed or cancelled due to an “extraordinary circumstance”, you may not be eligible for flight compensation as the EU and British air passenger rights regulations necessitate the airline to be responsible for the flight disruption in order to provide compensation to passengers.

A strike, most often specifically within the aviation industry (for example, a strike of air traffic control workers at a specific airport).
However, a strike of the airline's crew is not considered an extraordinary circumstance!
Political circumstances, such as a terrorist attack or general security risk due to political unrest.
Natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions and hurricanes.
A collision between the aircraft and birds or other foreign objects.
An ill or unruly passenger.
Flight delays caused by the airport staff, such as extraordinarily long queues to security checks.
