Summer 2016 promises cheap flight to the US

For years now, low budget airlines have been striving to offer cheap flight to the US, so far with very little success. WOW Air, an Icelandic airline has now managed to bring this to life. From June 2016 onwards, the carrier will be offering flight to the States for as little as 200 Euros (approx. £ 155)

Established merely three years ago by Icelandic millionaire Skúli Mogensen, WOW Air will be offering flights that are substantially cheaper than those of the competition. The only condition is an layover in Iceland.

Healthy competition

Many European budget airlines are now following in the same footsteps. Germanwings, a Lufthansa subsidiary, will be offering cheap flights from Cologne (Germany) to destinations such as the Caribbean, Asia and South Africa. For about 370 Euros (approx £ 285 ) Norwegian Air will be offering cheap flights between Gatwick and New York.

All those planning a trip to the States this year will have plenty to look forward to.
