Circumstances

We arrived at the airport at 11am and started to check in. It came up on the board that it was delayed and had to wait until 1pm to find out what was happening. At 1.30pm they announced that there were buses outside to take us to a hotel. Once at the hotel there was a notice board to say when meals times were and pick up at 9pm back to the airport. A few hours later when we returned to the hotel (after making phone calls home) there was another notice to say that pick up was at 8.30pm to take us to another hotel (we never saw a rep and did not know why the plane was delayed then later cancelled) and that our flight would be at 4.20am. We got to the other hotel at 10pm and was told that we would get picked up at 2.30am to go back to the airport. We had to make more phone calls home as the flight had changed again. To rearrange our lift. At 2.30am we got the bus, arrived at the airport (again no rep) to find the flight had been delayed yet again. There was one place open for food and drink and had to buy these our self's. We boarded the plane at 5.10am and the plane took off at 6.10am. We landed at Manchester airport at 10.30am. It was a sad ending to a great holiday.
