Hi Anna, I’m from the United States and I don’t really understand all these rules and regulations. Can I complain about flight delays?
Hi Mario, thank you for your question. Well of course that you can! Not only can you complain about them, if your flight’s route is covered by Regulation EC 261/2004 then you can also submit a request for compensation.
When can I request compensation for my flight’s problems?
If you were flying from the US and your destination was a city inside the EU, then you are covered if you were flying with a European carrier. This also applies if you were flying from any other destination in the world. In other words: if you are flying to the EU with a European carrier, you can claim compensation when your flights gets delayed, cancelled or if you are denied boarding due to overbooking.
Furthermore, the regulation applies to all flights departing the EU. This means, if you are flying from anywhere inside the EU, you are entitled to compensation if your flight has been delayed, cancelled or you have been denied boarding due to overbooking.
So, don’t only complain about your flight’s delay, also exercise your rights as a passenger! Submit a claim and get compensated for your troubles.
If you want us to handle all the hassle, you can submit your claim with Flight-Delayed and we will get to work in no time. We will make sure the airline doesn’t get away with just brushing off your complaints!
Best of all, our 25% win fee will only apply if we’ve succeeded with claiming your compensation.
