In certain situations you are may be entitled to compensation when your flight has been cancelled or delayed due to a strike. However, the airline may not be obliged to pay a compensation for a cancellation due to a strike.

In case of a cancellation, they won’t have to pay compensation when:

- The airline has informed you of the cancellation of your flight at least 14 days before departure

- The airline has offered you an alternative flight that departs no more than one hour before the original departure time or arrives no more than two hours after the original arrival time.

- The strike was called by the staff from the airport of departure or arrival of your flight.

- The strike was called by the air traffic control of your country of departure, your country of arrival or another country you had to fly over to reach your final destination.

In case of a delay, they won’t have to pay compensation when:
