The selfie-fever has spread across the globe and it is safe to say that we’ve all got a few on our phones Here’s a top ten list of locations that are ideal for selfies. A recent study by British ticket website Attractiontix mapped out the ten most popular selfie spots around the world. The following top ten was developed by analysing 219 million Instagram posts with the hashtag 'selfie' between October 2010 and January 2015.
10. London Bridge: 3.820 selfies
Tenth place: London Bridge with over three thousand selfies. This bridge is the oldest river crossing of the city and is often confused with the Tower Bridge.
9. Top of the Rock in New York: 4290 selfies
The ninth selfie spot with as many as 4,920 selfies: Top of the Rock in New York. This observation deck is located on the 70th floor of Rockefeller Plaza. From here you have a unique 360 degree view of New York. On one side you have Central Park and on the other side the Empire State Building. What a view!
8. The Colosseum in Rome: 4670 selfies
Number eight is the Colosseum of Rome with a whopping 4670 selfies. This amphitheatre is one of the seven wonders of the world and it is also the most visited monument in Rome.
7. Disneyland Paris: 4740 selfies
In seventh place: Disneyland Paris. Annually, this park attracts over fourteen million visitors and over 4,740 selfies are taken. The park has two amusement parks and seven hotels. This Disney Resort is the second outside the United States. The other can be found in Tokyo.
6. Sagrada Familia in Barcelona: 4970 selfies
Number six is the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, in full: Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia. This church is a design by Antoni Gaudí and about 4,970 selfies were shot here. Since the laying of the foundation stone in 1882, the church has been undergoing constant restoration. The official completion date is not until 2026.

The fifth most popular place is the Big Ben, the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster in London. The huge clock in the tower is one of the heaviest in the world causing the tower to gradually tilt. This comes from years of underground work in London. Although Big Ben will not just fall over, it might become just as crooked as the leaning tower of Pisa in a few thousand years.
4. Empire State Building in New York: 8430 selfies
The second tallest skyscraper in New York is on number four with about 8,500 selfies. This building attracts more than two million visitors yearly. Check this beautiful panoramic view of New York from the Empire State Building.
3. Burj Khalifa in Dubai: 8860 selfies
Burj Khalifa is on third place. This skyscraper in the city of Dubai is a whopping 828 meters high and the tallest building in the world. In addition, the highest club in the world is located in the building on the 143rd floor.
2. Disney World in Florida: 9870 selfies
Coming in second is Disney World in Florida with about 9870 selfies. With four theme parks and two water parks it is the most visited amusement park in Florida with about 25 million visitors every year.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris is the clear winner with more than ten thousand selfies. In addition, this world famous monument is also the most visited attraction in the world. Hence it is not surprising that this monument is the most popular location.
