Air Canada employees throw luggage around

Monday, April 28, 2014

Recently, Air Canada appeared in the news when a video was published on the internet, showing staff throwing around luggage. The video, which was taken at Toronto airport, were viewed more than 2. 800.000 times. As a consequence, Air Canada is now considering the dismissal of two employees.

"We want to apologize for the bad treatment of our customers," said Air Canada. "An internal investigation is hopefully going to give us more insights about the situation. The behaviour of the employees is not in accordance with our corporate policy and will have consequences."

The employees dropped the luggage, falling several meters. This is likely to have caused some damage to the suitcases or to the items inside. Most shocking perhaps is how the employees replied to the events so far. "It's really inhumane to use the stairs with the heavy weight of the luggage. The airline is not innocent! They should consider a better system", said an employee of Air Canada.
