Families travelling with children between the ages of 12 and 15 are no longer required to pay air passenger duty, a tax paid by all those flying from a UK airport.
The current APD rate lies at approximately £13 per passenger for short-haul flights (less than 2,000 miles). Those travelling to further destinations are charged up to £71 per passenger.
Those who booked a package holiday should submit a claim with the respective travel agency.
